Structured DDR Data
Dense, validated forms designed for engineers and field crews.
Turn drilling and subsurface data into a clearer view of well performance, operational risk, and the next decision. Bring daily reporting, engineering analysis, and well lifecycle context together in one workspace.
Dense, validated forms designed for engineers and field crews.
Create, retrieve and review connected drilling reports.
Depth and time-based visualization of supported DDR data.
Supported file import, organized review and export workflows.
Use classic IADC activity codes for consistent DDR and NPT analysis, with optional DDR Plus codes for hierarchical detail.
Use an open, industry-standard foundation for exchanging well and operational data across teams and systems.
Built for daily decisions
Keep report details traceable while turning recorded measurements into progress, efficiency, and cost context.
Enter DDRs in structured forms or batch import drilling, geology, and mud reports. Review validation results and clear import warnings before records enter the well story.
Follow depth progress, rig activity, drilling pace, NPT hours, and cost against plan. Compare wells with clear units and consistent activity codes.
Preview reports, choose the sections and fields each audience needs, then export operational workbooks for field and office teams.
Keep project and well access organized with role-based permissions, review history, and shared operational context.
Open data standards
WITSML v2.1 is the latest published WITSML standard for well and well-related operational data. KGE uses and encourages WITSML as a shared standard for clearer exchange between operators, rigs, service teams, and software systems. WITSML v2.1 uses ETP v1.2 for its API.
About KGE
KGE (Khami Geology Energy) is a specialized well engineering partner providing rigorous subsurface data analysis and drilling optimization. Grounded in international QA/QC standards and an uncompromised safety culture, we help operators navigate difficult formations safely and efficiently. From pre-drill feasibility studies to real-time operational surveillance, KGE delivers the technical clarity needed to protect assets and reach total depth on schedule.
We transform subsurface data into operational certainty. Through advanced drilling data analytics and real-time wellbore optimization, we bridge geology and active drilling. We convert sensor streams and geomechanical models into precise insights that help operators maximize Rate of Penetration (ROP), mitigate downhole risks, and reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT). We don’t just analyze data—we engineer smarter wells.
KGE structures daily drilling activity around classic IADC codes, supporting consistent reporting and operational time analysis. DDR Plus codes provide optional hierarchical enrichment, while core activity classification and NPT analysis remain available through the classic IADC code set.
Workflow examples
These examples show how teams can use connected well data to move from a daily observation to a practical engineering review. They are workflow illustrations, not customer results or measured case studies.
Bring report intervals and available drilling measurements into a shared depth view. Review changes in ROP alongside operating context before deciding what needs attention.
Classify activity with IADC codes, derive NPT from the recorded class, and review time distribution across reports to focus follow-up on recurring operational losses.
Keep formation tops, survey context, casing, and daily progress close together so engineering reviews can use the same well story as field reporting.
Connected reporting workflow
See how a drilling spreadsheet becomes validated report data and a meaningful engineering chart.
Upload a supported DDR spreadsheet.
Workflow overview only. No customer records, sample well names, or measurements are displayed.
Drilling intelligence
Build depth and time charts from saved DDR records. Select a well, choose valid fields and units, then inspect the measurements with drilling context.
Depth Based — MD / TVD versus recorded variables
Time Based — daily or interval-level measurements
Multiple valid series, units, exports and saved views
The chart plots values from the selected well's saved reports; gaps remain visible.
